Our team

Founding stone of Villa Betula Resort*** was laid by Martin Brezina and his wife Vlastička Brezinová, Anna´s parents. Both of them spent their actives lives in hotel services and together with their three daughters Vlasta, Anna and Martina built resort since the very beginning in 1997. They remain and participated in its operations until 2005, when hotel operations were taken by Anna and her husbad Štefan and their children Oliver, Pavlína and Michal. Unfortunatelly, Martin Brezina left us suddenly on Januar 8, 2022. Until the last moments he was a respected leader of the Vila Betula team. „Dear grandfather, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for becoming a part of our lives, teaching us resposibility, building a relationship with us. With family and friends. And spicing our lives with love and humor. „

Anna is in resort since the beginning... so since 1999. Her official position is general manager. In order to our guests do feel like at home, Anna is here to create this atmosphere. She is mother of the whole resort and friends to all of us. You can find her almost everywhere, in every corner of this Resort and almost every day of year. If she has some free time, she likes to read a good book, so she is not aware of any topic. In a recent time, (since May 2021) she enjoys a „new position“ as a grandmother.

Štefan is in Resort also since the beginning. He is Anna´s husband and one of the main creators of idea to build this resort on a green meadow. In this part of Liptov were not aquaparks or something like this 20 years ago. And just a small group of people believed this idea could be succesfull. It was and still is very succesfull. Curretnly he is the head of maintance and still the main inventor and creative member. He also provides non-stop service of beer with name Pivná pohotovosť and pub Váh. His hobbies are beer and good food, driving and walking with dogs and technology too. Lately, he is interested in beekeeping and even though he has not found supporters (except his youngest son Michal) he is not about to give up.

Oliver is in Resort also since the beginning, he is first-born son of Anna and Štefan. Besides this he is also a huge supporter of IT technologies, developer and inventor with sense of details. He does everything connected with resort operation. He likes to create new meals for our menu and likes coffee a lot. But not olny Resort is place where you can find him, he likes to hike or bike in the nature or paddleboard. In May 2021 he and his girlfriend Peťka became parents of little and cute Hana, who brought a lot of love to their and our lives too.

Pavlína is in the resort since her birth. When she was a child she was very close to animals and chose this path, so she studied veterinary medicine. She is the founder of the Animal Therapist idea, brought this idea to life and making it even better every day. Her Animal Therapist has very good results. She spends most of the time in our Animal Farm and takes care of it, so you can meet her everywhere. She loves the whole resort that much so she decided to live here. She chose very unconventional place, above the stable.

Michal is in resort since July 2008, when he was born. He is the youngest son of Anna and Štefan and since his first steps he has been involved in all work processes. His child opinions often open our adult´s eyes. Michal masters working with an excavator and loader, but is also a reliable assistant for virtual reality and animator. And he loves our pancakes.

Marcela is in resort since her student time. She has tried almost every job position in resort, and currently is operation manager. Her job is covering the smooth running of the resort. She is always in a good mood and you can see her with a bright smile on face. Marcela likes yoga, jumping or running and she is uncurable workoholic with endless renewable resources.

Kristián joined our team in the summer of 2022. He is the newest addition, who takes care of the smooth running of operations and customer satisfaction. To ensure the perfect enjoyment of your family experience, he uses the acquired knowledge and previous experience in the field of services and gastronomy. He is interested in the opinion of the guests and especially their satisfaction. He always speaks kindly to you and is happy to discuss any topic. If you see a camera in his hands, don't hesitate to ask him to capture precious moments together with your family.

Jana has become team member in november 2021. She analyzes every single economic operation in detail. She always approaches her tasks responsibly and guards our family treasury. Her strong side is human resources and can explain economic processes to everybody. Jana is friendly and very quickly gained the trust of the whole team. She compensates her difficult job with work. You can see her running, hiking in the surrounding mountains. In addition she like to dedicate her precious time to her family and loved ones.

Ivana is team member since 2005. She is in charge of our stock records and inventories, responsible for the running of Hotel Steve in Liptovský Mikuláš and right hand of our Boss Anna. Ivana is direct person with a real view of the world, thanks to which she can look at different situations differently. Her great passion are flowers, shrubs and trees. We are happy to use her skills for cozying our resort not only for regular days but also for special occasions like celebrations and weddings. There is no material from which she could not create something new and beautiful.

Jarka is team member since the beginning of year 2022. She is horse riding instructor and right hand of Katka. Jarka takes care our horses have always full bellies. So our visitors still can enjoy beautiful nature in Liptov from horse back. Since her childhood she was really into the animals. Jarka welcomes you with with smile on her face and contagious good mood. She shares her experiences from working abroad with us but also with everyone who wants know something more. When she is not it the stable she is definitely enjoying free time with her dogs somewhere in the nature. If you want to make her smile even brighter you can bring her chocolate or any other sweet.

Kateřina is in resort since 2017. She is a riding instructor and cares for horses on daily basis, so they are in a good physical and mental condition. She passes her riding experiences to our clients during lessons or during walks in nature. With her charm she takes hearts of children and adults. She assists Pavlína during hippotherapy and her favourite horse is Oscar. Kateřina is the mother of little mischief Daniel and Majko, who together with taking care of the household, take up almost all her free time. She comes from Moravia, Czech republic, but Liptov and its nature become her second home.

Inga, as we call her, is in resort since 2019. She takes care if the entertainment of all children. She is always smiling and in a positive mood. She draws from an endless well of ideas and like to by inspired by nature. But she is that good that she can entertain even adults. Her favourite work prop is a wig. Besides this she is member of Freeze, the dance group, and thanks to this fact dance school is a favourite activity our programms. In her free time she likes to find quiet places in our beautiful liptov nature.

Milan is in resort since its beginning. He takes care of the full bellies of all guests and also team members. His one´s strong point is cooking the best meals according to his own recipes. The absolute gastronomic experience of his cuisine is his sirloin, which has noty et been surpassed by any of competitors. He is more introverted so you will not hear many word from him, but when he tells you something, it will definitely worth it. And we will tell you one more interesing fact about Milan, he prepares amazing and perfectly flavored Tartare Steak without even tasting it.

Anna is in resort since 2012. She prepares meals like from mother, because she herself is a 5-time mother. He puts not only her many years of experience into cookng, but also love and passion , which you will appreciate if you order something in our restaurant. Anna is always perfectly styled and even in difficult situations she can keep calm. She cooks the best porridge wide and even after a quite challengng shift she can dance all night. Her hobbies are flowers, dance and granddaughter Amy.

Jarmila has been in the resort since 2017. She can prepare specialities of all kinds, but when she mixes homemade cones or langoustines, believe us no one can resist. Every holiday she makes sure that our tables have different types of homemade cakes and tasty oilcake. In her free time she like to read a good book but she certainly sacrifices a lot of it to her only (for now) grandson Tomáš. Jarmila is a direct person in the sense of ´have one´s hearth in one´s mounth´ so it can easily happen that if you order a salad or come up with a lot of ideas you may find out something about yourself.

Dagmara has been member of the team since spring 2021. Her versatility and wide interest in various activities led her to various positions in our resort in a very short time. She also served you, cooked and baked for you and if you look around you may notice her raking the leaves if she has time. She is currently a full-featured member of our culinary crew. So you do not know where to find her, but what is sure is always her smiling face, good mood and unique contagious humour that no one can resist.

Evka has been in our resort since autumn 2022. A good holiday also includes good food, we are glad that Evka is a part of our team at the restaurant, who will serve you with a smile and willingly give advice if necessary. She is a graduate of the hotel academy and you can see her professionalism in everything she does. She likes to spend her free time in nature and playing sports, so you can also meet her hiking in the surrounding hills.

Miroslav is the oldest member of the Villa Betula Resort team. He was already involved in construction in 1997. He knows all the nooks and crannies and under his hands things are turning into more beautiful ones. He skillfully controls all the machines that help him in his work. He sows new trees and lawns with love. He also renovates and repairs attractions that turn into a pile of scrap metal by using kids. Miroslav loves animals and his quiet partner is lady dog named Najda.

Dalibor has been member of team since 2019. He uses his many years of experience working in the hotel services for various repairs, which are part of our daily routine. He participates in all reconstructions and constructions of new attractions. He is responsible for the well-being and full belies of our animals. In the past he has been dedicated dog trainer, so if you need advice he will be happy to help you. He always brings good mood to our team.

Zuzana become part of our team in 2020. She takes care of safety and cleanliness of our attraction, but many times you can find her assisting with maintaince. During summer she takes care of our flowers. Zuzana´s hobby is biathlon, which she was devoted to even at the professional level. She likes to bike and hike and restoration of old things.

Darinka has been a flexible part of our team for many years. She know Villa Betula like her own palm. Every day she spends in our young and cheerful team she can transform into the infinite energy. Even though she is already 10 years retired on pension she is always willing to help with cleaning and beautifying our large garden. Her hobbies are walking in Kvačianska valley and picking mushrooms.

Kristínka has been part of the team since 2020. Together with Vierka, they form an inseparable duo who make sure that you feel at home during your stay. Just as Kristínka takes care of the pleasant appearance of our premises, you will always see her well-groomed, and meeting her will certainly make your day more pleasant. We can always rely on Kristínka, she is thorough, sociable, perceptive and often uses her organizational skills at work. She devotes her free time mainly to her husband, children Samko and Sofia, who like to spend time together in our Babyland.

Vierka has been in the resort since 2020. She takes care of the cleanliness and pleasant environment of your rooms and all the space your enjoy during your stay. She became friend with professional ozone generator very quickly. She uses it every day. She is versatile, friendly and always ready to help. We also appreciated her tailoring skills when sewing bed linen. She likes to sport in her free time. During the winter you will meet her on cross-country skis and in the summer she likes to run.

Meggie currently works as our external colleague. Her job is dog-assisted intervention (canis therapy) which she performs with her four-legged friends Bexa and Darco. Meggie has been part of the family for many years and she used to work at the reception desk. In addition she also opened her own dog salon and has established her kennel for flat coated retrievers.
